How It Works
The process starts with the hopper being filled with biowaste for fuel. It's augered into the combustor and electronic igniters start the fire in the center of the firebox. The automated electronic control panel feeds the biowaste as needed to the fire and empties the sterile ash. A combustion fan feeds more oxygen to the fire and turbo charges the burn.
The biowaste combusts from the inside out in a patented horizontal tornado of fire with temperatures up to 1500° F. That's hot enough to vaporize 99% of the biowaste's odors. The heat exchanger is placed directly in the the combustion zone to draw the greatest amount of heating energy. The ultra-efficient burn insulates itself leaving the external surfaces of the combustor warm to the touch.
Depending upon the moisture content and caloric value of the biowaste, the energy output range from 250,000 BTU's to 750,000 BTU's/hr which can be used for heating, cooling, or with an added generator set, electricity.
Nature's Furnace accomplishes all this with only 11 moving parts.
